2024 CLEAN ENERGY FRONTIER PROGRAM AWARDS
The Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the second-annual Clean Energy Frontier Program Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the local economy and clean energy sector. These awards celebrate the achievements and dedication of individuals, teams or organizations who are advancing clean energy innovation, economic growth and community engagement in the region.
Paulette Peirol Memorial Award for Excellence in Economic Development
This award recognizes an economic development professional or team that has shown a profound commitment to the region's clean energy sector.
The recipient will have demonstrated excellence through initiatives that promote regional economic growth, foster innovation, and advance sustainability in the clean energy industry.
Emerging Leader in Clean Energy and Innovation Award
This award is dedicated to a young leader under the age of 40 who has shown exceptional leadership in driving clean energy initiatives within their community.
This emerging leader exemplifies dedication to the clean energy sector through impactful projects, advocacy, and community engagement.
Community Clean Energy Champion Award
This award celebrates a local business, not-for-profit organization, or association that has shown outstanding leadership by fostering partnerships, engaging the community, and advocating for regional clean energy advancement.
The recipient will have demonstrated a commitment to collaboration, awareness-building, and innovative projects that strengthen the regional clean energy ecosystem.
Our message is clear—there’s no path to a net zero future without what happens right here in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.

CLEAN ENERGY FRONTIER SUMMIT 2024
How do people living in a region that’s driving the clean energy transition manage the social, political and environmental challenges that come with it?
That was the central question posed to municipal officials, local Indigenous leaders, representatives of the clean energy sector and others assembled at Cobble Beach on Friday for the annual Clean Energy Frontier Summit.
Over a day of discussions, participants addressed many of these issues, from how to build big energy projects to workforce attraction and development across the region of Bruce, Grey and Huron—the Clean Energy Frontier.
